Cardamom Flavoured Cake


  • 1 & 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 & 3/4th Cup caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 cup butter unsalted
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp food colours with your desired
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup of water


For the cake sift plain flour, baking soda, baking powder & cardamom powder. Keep aside.

In a bowl beat the oil & castor sugar well.

Then add 1 by 1 eggs & beat again.

Add the sifted dry ingredients. Mix well by cut & fold method.

Bake for 30-40 minutes in 180 degree c in preheated oven.

Cool completely & rest it for over night.

For sugar syrup boil sugar & water until sugar dissolves well. Cool down completely & keep aside.

For the buttercream frosting beat butter and sugar together until creamy form comes.

Now divide the buttercream in 3 parts & add ur desired food colours. I use green in 1 portion for leaf, deep pink & light pink in the another 2 portions for flower.

Now cut the cake between with cake knife & divide in 2 layers.

Drizzled sugar syrup on the top of the 1 layer. Add some butter cream. Assmble the another layer & again drizsled sugar syrup & add butter cream.

No crumble coat the cake with butter cream & rest it for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes again cover the cake with buttercream.

Decorare the cake by making some flowers & leaves.
